Job Description
The Salesforce Team Lead will be responsible for leading a team of Salesforce developers and spearheading the maintenance, design and implementation of Salesforce solutions that support SELF’s lending, reporting, and contractor management portal. The Team Lead must be a Salesforce expert with experience in system integrations, APIs, and process optimizations. This role requires strong leadership, technical expertise, and project management skills to ensure that internal systems run efficiently and support the organization's mission and goals.

Key Responsibilities
Team Leadership and Development:
  • Lead and manage a team of 3–4 Salesforce developers, fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
  • Train new Salesforce team members and support plug-and-play partners in implementing the white-label lending platform.
  • Provide technical leadership and mentorship, ensuring adherence to development best practices.
Salesforce System Development:
  • Design and implement new Salesforce developments under Operations Director supervision to support internal operations and reporting.
  • Oversee the creation or enhancement of client-facing custom applications.
  • Configure and build new functionalities using both declarative and programmatic solutions, including custom objects, workflows, validations, and formulas.
  • Follow Agile software development methodology and team architecture standards.
  • Develop efficient automated reports
  • Maintain all Salesforce integrations
Integration and Process Optimization:
  • Analyze and recommend integration tools and methods, comparing pricing and performance.
  • Design and implement integrations with external applications and systems using APIs.
  • Optimize the use of Salesforce applications and products to maximize the platform’s investment.
Project Management and Execution:
  • Write scopes of work to solicit quotes, evaluate proposals, and submit recommendations to leadership.
  • Manage Salesforce projects using project management tools to ensure timely completion within deadlines.
  • Prepare and deliver presentations on new developments and process flowcharts for stakeholders.
System Maintenance and Support:
  • Manage troubleshooting processes and service tickets to resolve system issues promptly.
  • Conduct design, code, and test inspections to detect and prevent defects and potential risks.
  • Ensure Salesforce system updates align with organizational goals and user needs.

Preferred Qualifications
Education and Certifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field; MBA is a plus.
Experience:
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as a Salesforce developer and 3 years as a Salesforce team lead or manager.
  • Experience working with financial institutions and fintech platforms, with preference for experience in the non-profit financial sector.
  • Proficiency in Salesforce development languages (Apex, C#, Visualforce, Lightning Web Components, SOQL, and SOSL).
  • Familiarity with HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and Assembly Forms or alternatives.
Skills:
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with proficiency in project management tools.
  • Ability to lead and collaborate effectively in a high-growth and dynamic environment.
  • Proficiency in tools for creating process flowcharts (e.g., Visio, Lucidchart).
  • Excellent communication skills for working with stakeholders of varying technical expertise.

Employment Details
  • Work Arrangement: Hybrid/Remote with flexible scheduling.
  • Physical Requirements: Ability to sit, stand, and communicate effectively via phone, email, video calls, and text.

Compensation
  • Salary: $85,000-$95,000 Commensurate with experience and expertise.
